CHANUTE, Kan. – The Hesston College women's soccer team fell 5-1 to #16 Neosho County Community College on Saturday (September 28). The Larks took the lead early with a goal from Rena Itoga in the 2nd minute, but Neosho quickly responded with a goal in the 12th minute to level the match. Neosho scored again in the 36th minute, bringing the score to 2-1 at halftime.
The Panthers scored three more times in the second half to seal the 5-1 victory for Neosho. Ashleigh Williams recorded 12 saves, but the defense couldn't contain Neosho's 25-shot attack. The Larks managed six shots in the contest with five of them on goal.
