After some deliberation by the Continental Athletic Conference, it was announced that Nathan Lewis and Jonah Krumme will represent the Hesston College men's cross-country team at the NAIA national championship on November 21 in Tallahassee, Fla. joining their teammate Arissa Cathey who qualified on the women's side.
Lewis and Krumme, both from Wichita, Kan., finished ninth and tenth respectively in the Continental Athletic Conference championships. Lewis crossed the line in 28:42.5, while Krumme followed close behind at 28:51.5. Their top-10 finishes earned them Second Team All-Conference honors and individual berths to the national meet. The Larks men's team placed second overall among the three teams competing.
Earlier this season, Krumme placed ninth out of 60 runners at the Neosho County Invitational, finishing fourth among NAIA competitors and setting a personal-best time of 28:42.53 in the 8k. Lewis also notched a personal record with a 29:15.2 finish at the Golden Eagle Invitational.
Live results and video will be available for the national meet.
