Men's Basketball Struggles with Tigers

HESSTON, Kan. — Hesston College men's basketball fell 105–63 to Central Christian College on Thursday night inside Yost Gym. Despite an early 2–0 lead on a jumper from Marcus Golden, the Tigers quickly took control with a barrage of first-half scoring, building a 53–33 advantage by halftime. Central Christian shot 54.7% from the field and connected on 10 three-pointers, using 13 steals and 21 points off turnovers to stretch its lead throughout the night.

Brennon Dodge led the Larks with 16 points, all coming in the second half as he shot 6-for-9 from the floor and hit a pair of threes. Antonio Odum scored all 14 of his points before halftime, adding five made free throws and two steals. Henry Snyder provided a strong second-half spark as well, scoring all 13 of his points after the break, including two threes. Hesston's bench contributed 35 points, highlighted by solid minutes from Brooks Thrift, Brycten Harris and Rob Gambill, who grabbed eight rebounds.

Central Christian placed five players in double figures, including Chris Whitten with 23 points and Jevarrick Butler with 20, while holding a 49–29 advantage on the boards.

The Larks will continue their homestand on Saturday (Nov. 15) as they host the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 3 p.m.
