COLBY, Kan. – Jaylon Hatcher was named the KJCCC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week in the first week of the outdoor season as released by the conference office on Tuesday (Mar. 18). This is the first Athlete of the Week honor for Hesston track and field since joining the conference in 2019.
Hatcher took home the gold in the long jump at the Dean Pryor Invitational hosted by Coffeyville Community College with a mark of 22' 3 ¾". The Plano, Texas native also placed ninth in the 100m dash and seventh in the 200m dash.
Hesston track and field will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 22) as they travel to North Newton for the Bethel College Open.
