HILLSBORO, Kan. – Hesston College women's soccer fell 3-0 on the road to Tabor in on Wednesday evening (Aug. 27). The Bluejays struck early and often in the first half, finding the net three times in a 22-minute span. Haley Rogers opened the scoring in the 17th minute, finishing off an assist from April Ochoa. Porsha Zweifel doubled the lead in the 29th minute, converting a feed from Rogers, and Mariana Ballesteros capped the first-half scoring in the 39th minute with Ochoa earning her second assist.

Despite the early deficit, Hesston tightened up defensively after the break, holding Tabor scoreless in the second half. Goalkeeper Ashleigh Williams was busy in net, recording seven saves on 10 shots on goal, including multiple stops on point-blank attempts. Susana Martinez led the Larks' attack with three shots, all on frame, while Brooke Tafoya added another shot on goal. The Larks managed five total shots and earned two corner kicks, but couldn't break through a Tabor defense anchored by keeper Nadiyah Martin, who notched the shutout with four saves.

The Larks will head to Iowa over the weekend for a pair of games with Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny (Aug. 30 at 1:00 p.m.) and Buena Vista University in Storm Lake (Aug. 31 at 10:30 a.m.).
