HILLSBORO, Kan. — The Hesston College track and field team competed at the Tabor College Invitational on Saturday, turning in several strong performances across both track and field events.

In the sprints, Nick Win (Jr., Yangon, Myanmar) placed 21st in the men's 100 meters with a time of 11.82 and followed with a 23rd-place finish in the 200 meters at 24.66. On the women's side, Krystina Clemons (Jr., Morrilton, Ark.) had a standout day, placing seventh in the 100 meters with a time of 12.80 and finishing fourth in the 200 meters in 26.57.

In the 400 meters, Seth Crouse (Fr., Chapman, Kan.) placed eighth with a time of 53.91, while Jonah Krumme (Fr., Wichita, Kan.) finished 14th in 1:03.23.

The Larks saw strong performances in the 1500 meters, led by Nathan Lewis (Fr., Wichita, Kan.), who placed third with a time of 4:24.66. Jack Hunter (So., Abilene, Kan.) finished eighth in 4:46.51, and Landon Lunsford (So., Newton, Kan.) placed 10th with a time of 4:52.81.

In the field events, Hunter also competed in the discus, finishing 22nd with a throw of 23.93 meters. Ellie Smith (Fr., Canon City, Colo.) placed 18th in the women's discus with a throw of 24.90 meters and finished 13th in the shot put with a mark of 8.21 meters.

Win added a top-10 finish in the men's long jump, placing 10th with a jump of 5.39 meters.

The Larks will return to action Friday, April 17 at the Coyote Challenge hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University.
