HESSTON, Kan. — The Hesston College volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Randall University on Tuesday evening, sweeping the Saints 26-24, 25-18, 25-17 at Yost Center. The win moved the Larks to 4-3 on the season.

Hesston survived a back-and-forth opening set that featured six ties and four lead changes. Randall held a 24-22 advantage late in the set, but the Larks responded with four consecutive points to complete the comeback, 26-24. Hesston carried that momentum into the second set, overcoming an early 5-4 deficit to build a 25-18 win.

The Larks controlled the third set from the middle stages, turning a 10-10 tie into a 25-17 victory. Hesston finished the match with 37 kills and hit .136 as a team, while also recording seven service aces and nine total blocks. The Larks' defense limited Randall to a .027 hitting percentage and forced the Saints into 23 attack errors.

Lydia Foster led Hesston offensively with eight kills while hitting .211 and added a team-high six block assists. Layla Romero also recorded eight kills while hitting a team-best .286. Kennedie Esparza contributed eight kills, 11 digs and two block assists, while Jacee Ray had five kills and hit .308.

Delayna Kerry and Rebekah Blackmer combined for 30 assists, with Kerry adding 15 assists, four kills, nine digs and four blocks. Blackmer totaled 15 assists and eight digs. Sarahi Paez led the defensive effort with 14 digs.

Hesston returns to action on September 8 as they head to Hillsboro to take on Tabor at 7 p.m.
