Vincent Delisio was named  head coach of the Hesston College women’s basketball team on August 3, 2023. Vinny brings with him 11 years of collegiate coaching experience at the NCAA DII and NAIA levels. 

A Kansas City, Mo. native, Delisio began his coaching career at the University of Central Missouri as a student assistant for their women’s team, a DII powerhouse. In his five years with the Jennies, Delisio was part of three NCAA tournament teams and one MIAA championship. He also coached a Daktronics Player of the Year. While at UCM, Vinny completed his bachelor’s degree in sports management. 

After his time in Warrensburg, Deliso spent time at Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University and Cameron (Okla.) University (NCAA DII) as a graduate assistant coach. Vinny coached with the men’s squad at SBU before taking a position with the women’s team at Central Missouri.

Vinny took over as an assistant coach with the women’s team at Friends (Kan.) University (NAIA) before eventually taking the role of interim head coach.
