Volleyball Takes Care of Business against KCAC Opponents

Hesston, KS -


The Larks took care of all three KCAC match-ups this past weekend.  They swept all three of  their opponents 3-0. The three match win streak brings their overall record (9-11, 0-4).  The Larks turn their attention towards their next KJCCC match on Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 pm versus Cloud County.


Hesston vs. Ottawa Notes

Hesston faced off with Ottawa in game one of the homecoming triangular last Saturday, and they defeated the Braves in a straight set sweep 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-23).  The Larks started the game on fire as they went up on the Braves in the first set, and carried that fire throughout the set for the easy set win.  They continued to play strong as they took the win each of the next two sets for the sweep!  Marta Jantzi lead the way for the Larks as she recorded 12 kills, 3 aces, and 22 assists!

Hesston vs. Sterling Notes

The Larks took on Sterling in the final match of the day on Saturday and carried their strong play into the match defeating the Warriors 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-14).  Sterling took an early eight point  lead in both the first and second sets.  Hesston found a way to fight all the back to take the lead and eventually take the each of those sets.  The Larks handled Sterling easily in the third set as they fed off of the crowds energy and finished off the sweep.  Marta Jantzi had herself a great day as she lead the way again with 12 kills for the Larks!

Hesston vs. Friends Notes

Hesston brought their "A" game for their third straight match as they defeated the Falcons in a straight set sweep 3-0 (25-13, 25-5, 25-16).  The Larks kept up their strong play and took advantage of every set not allowing the Falcons any breathing room to work their way back into the match.  Marta Jantzi, MacKenzie Moredcai, and Maddy Ward led the way for the Larks with 7 kills each!
