Women's Basketball Unable to Prevail at Home

The Larks hosted the Lark Classic this weekend and faced off with North Platte CC (Fri.) and McCook College (Sat.).  They fell in both of their games this weekend bringing their record to 0-10 on the season.  



Hesston vs. North Platte CC Notes

The Larks faced off with North Platte on Friday, November 15 inside Yost Gymnasium, where they would fall by a score of 86-51.  This loss brought their losing streak to nine games to open the season.  They fell behind early in this game and weren't able to get the lead back.  The Larks saw ten out of their eleven players to score a point in this game, with Gina DeFazio (Fr. Wichita, KS) being the leading scorer with 14 points.

Hesston vs. McCook Notes

The Larks faced off with McCook College on Saturday, November 16, where they fell by a score of 88-46 bring their losing streak to ten games to open the season.  The Larks began the game great as they led by 3 with 8:14 left in the quarter.  McCook took control of the game shortly after, and didn't lose the lead for the rest of the game.  The Larks shot just 2-10 from the three point line, and 16-42 from the field.  Turnovers and personal fouls hurt the Larks today as they committed 28 turnovers ans 21 fouls which lead to the run McCook put together.  Sydney Bontrager led the way for the Larks as she had 8 points.  Caitlyn Phillips (So. Mustang, Okla.) had a good game as she scored 7 points and had 7 rebounds as well.
