The Larks opened up their season at home this past weekend were they faced off with to KCAC opponents from the NAIA. They fell in all three of their games against those opponents which moves their overall season record to 0-3 on the young season. Â
Hesston vs. Bethel College JV Notes
The Larks opened up their season in a game against the Threshers of Bethel College, where they were unable to secure a late game victory as they fell by a score of 65-61. This loss brought the Larks overall record to 0-1 on the season. The Larks fell behind by 11 points late in the fourth quarter, but after back-to-back 3's by the Larks and another basket they were back in the game. Unfortunately, they were unable to stage a comeback as they fell in the final minute.Â
Destiny Kessay (Fr. McNary, Ariz.) lead the way for the Larks with 14 points, and
Alexie Tibbs (Fr. Clarksville, Ark.) was money from the free throw line, where she went 7-8. Â

Hesston vs. Friends University JV Notes
The Larks faced off with the Falcons of Friends University on November 2 where they fell by a score of 88-58. This loss brought their overall record to 0-2 on the season. The Falcons were able to capitalize on the Larks 22 turnovers.Â
Destiny Kessay led the way for the Larks with 10 points in 29 minutes on the floor. The Larks were great on the glass as they secured 50 rebounds as a team, which led both teams.Â

Hesston vs. Sterling Notes
The Larks faced off with the Warriors of Sterling College November 4 where they fell by a score of 83-71, this loss brought their record to 0-3 on the season. Hesston played very well in the first half as they brought a 36-30 lead into the half. In the second half, they were unable to stop the hot shooting from the Warriors, as they made 21 shots in the final two quarters.Â
Alexie Tibbs had a career night as she scored 13 points, and had 7 assists to go along with 7 rebounds. Many of her assists went to
Destiny Kessay as she racked up 18 points on the night.
