The Hesston College Women's Soccer team was defeated by the Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen 3-0 on Saturday evening, bringing their season record to 1-1 on the season. This was the Larks second official contest of the season, and were upended by the Plainswomen. Through one half of play the score remained 0-0, as Larks goalie
Den Morita recorded 14 saves. The Larks had a chance to score in the 8th minute of the game when
Annalys Hanna's shot hit the crossbar. The first goal of the contest came in the 54th minute by Plainswomen Emali Ortega. The Plainswomen added two more goals in the 63rd minute, first by Rowan Hortsmeier, then by Fernanda Rios. The Larks had another chance to get on the board in the 78th minute, but
Annalys Hanna missed her shot wide left. The Larks are currently 1-1 on the season, and will look to bounce back at home in their first KJCCC matchup versus Cloud County Community College this Wednesday, September 4th at 5pm.
