Women's Basketball Falls in Contest with Johnson County

Overland Park, KS -

The Larks traveled to Johnson County Community College last night for their final road regular season game, they ended up falling to the Cavs by a score of 94-63.  They have now lost six straight games as their record sits at (5-23, 1-8) on the season with one game remaining.


Game Notes

The Larks went back and forth with the Cavs in the first quarter as they trailed 16-13, but into the second quarter the Cavs took advantage and led the game going into the half by the score of 42-29.  Hesston did very well on hanging onto the ball this game as they committed just 10 turnovers and they forced JCCC to commit 14 turnovers.  The Cavs took over in the second half, and ended up taking the game 94-63.  Sydney Bontrager (Fr. Milford, Neb.) led the Larks in scoring last night as she had 14 points on 7-12 shooting, she also had 3 rebounds.  Destiny Kessay (Fr. McNary, Ariz.) and Jordyn Brakes (Fr. Frisco, Texas) both added 13 points on the night.

What's Next?

The Larks will play host to Labette Community College at 1:00 PM on Saturday inside Yost Center.  We will be honoring our five sophomores during the game!
