The Larks traveled to El Dorado, Kansas on Saturday afternoon, to face off with a tough Butler CC team. Â They were unable to knock off Butler on their home floor as they fell by a score of 101-37. Â The Larks move to 1-1 on the season, and will now get ready for their next two games this upcoming week. Â
Hesston began the game scoring early as
Tre McCullough (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored a layup that was assisted by
Ethan Hildebrand (Fr. Stafford, Kan.). Â Butler went on a 15-3 run to bring the score 17-5, as
Juwuan Clifton (So. Conway, Arl.) drained back-to-back three pointers as the Larks trailed 17-11. Â Hesston couldn't get much going the rest of the half as they went into halftime trailing 43-19. Â The Larks began the second half on a cold shooting streak as they didn't score their first field goal of the half until 13:56 mark as
Langston Flowers (So. Dallas, Texas) hit a three pointer. Â They weren't able to get out of their shooting woes as they ended up dropping the game by a score of 101-37. Â Juwuan Flowers led the Larks in scoring as he finished with 14 on the afternoon on 5-15 shooting from the field. Â
Langston Flowers finished with 11 points on 4-15 shooting and had 3 assists. Â
The Larks will now prepare for their next game as they face off with Sterling College JV tomorrow night inside of Yost Center beginning at 7:00 PM. Â They will look to push their record to 2-1 on the season. Â
