The Larks hosted the Greyhounds of Fort Scott last night inside Yost Center, where they lost a close game 55-51.  This loss brings the Larks overall record to (4-7, 0-3) on the season, they will be heading to Highland CC on Saturday for their next conference match.  


Both teams battled it out throughout the entire game, as neither team was able to build a huge lead.  The Larks found themselves leading 49-46 with 7:37 left in the game, after Destiny Kessay knocked down a pair of free throws.  Turnovers in the last few minutes of the game would play a huge role in allowing the Greyhounds to take advantage and take the game 55-51.  Sydney Bontrager had an outstanding game as she almost finished with a triple-double as she had 17 points, 17 rebounds, and 7 blocks.  Sydney also shot 80% from the field as she knocked down 8-10 shots, and went 1-1 from the free throw line.  Natalia Bochenek had a good game as she finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and shot 4-8 from the field.  


Hesston will travel to Highland CC on Saturday afternoon for their game at 2:00 PM.  The Larks will look to knock off a top ranked team in the Scotties as they also look for their first conference win.  For the live stream link, please check our website or on Twitter: @GoLarks
