The Larks hosted #4 KCK this afternoon on sophomore day inside Yost center where they would fall 70-47. Â This brings their record to (4-11, 0-7) on the season with just three games left to play in the regular season. Â
The first three quarters featured some very close play between the two teams as the Larks trailed by 7 points (50-43) going into the fourth quarter. Â The Larks were held to just 4 points in the fourth as the Blue Devils ran away with the game. Â The Larks showed a lot of fight this afternoon as they put up a good battle with the #4 team in the nation. Â
Destiny Kessay finished with a game high 19 points on 8-19 shooting from the field. Â
Sydney Bontrager recorded another double-double as she finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.  During halftime, four women's basketball players were honored for sophomore day, those sophomores were:
Sydney Bontrager,
Destiny Kessay,
Myley George, and

The Larks will be back in action on Wednesday evening on the road as they face off with Johnson County at 5:30 PM. Â They will have one more home game this season, they will play on March 31 versus Highland CC.
