The Larks traveled to KCKCC last night for their first conference game, as their first one was postponed due to COVID protocols.  Hesston would end up falling 83-50, this loss brings their record to (4-5, 0-1) on the season.  They will host Johnson County CC on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 PM inside of Yost Center as they look for their first conference win of the season.  


Hesston was led in scoring by Freshman Kirah Stepps as she finished with 10 points and also grabbed 5 rebounds.  Sydney Bontrager grabbed a team high 8 rebounds on the night and added 6 points as well as 4 blocks.  Porcelin Unruh made an impact off the bench for the Larks as she grabbed a career high 5 rebounds, and she also score her first basket in a Larks uniform!  Turnovers hurt the Larks in this game as the committed 37 turnovers which ultimately led to 41 points for KCK.  The Larks however were very efficient from the free throw line as they knocked down almost 70% of their free throws in the game.
