The Larks opened their season at home last night as they played against MCC-Blue River.
In the first half, both teams went back and forth as neither team was able to get one past the goal keeper. The Larks had a few chances in the first half, but were unable to succeed on those chances. At the end of the first half both teams were knotted up at 0-0 as
Katie Robeck had four saves and
Aydan Everett had two shot on goals. In the second half, MCC got on the board first as they scored in the 47th minute as they took a 1-0 lead. MCC would go on to add another goal to their lead in the 60th minute as they led 2-0 over the Larks. As time was winding down, the Larks scored their first goal of the game and season as
Isabella Carter scored her first goal in her Larks career. The Larks would end up dropping the game by a score of 2-1, this loss brings the Larks overall record to 0-1 on the season.
Hesston will look to get their first win of the season on Tuesday, as they host Southwestern College JV beginning at 5:00 PM.
