Hillsboro, Kan - Hesston improves to 3-3 with a one point victory over the Tabor College Blue Jays on Monday night. The Larks battled back from a 15 point deficit at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Freshman Norika Welch led the Larks in scoring with 27 points. Sophomore Kelsey Koza had 11 and freshman Ashlynn Davis put in 10 points to round out the double digit scorers. The defense forced 16 turnovers on Tabor and blocked two shots. The leading scorer for Tabor was Malynn Beil who had 20 points. Hesston was able to overcome 50 percent shooting by the Blue Jays from the three point line.

This win puts the all time series record to 8-11 for the Larks and the first win in Hillsboro since the 2014-15 season. 

Turning Point

The fourth quarter was a Norika Welch showcase. She made six free-throws and had 15 points to seal the win for Hesston.
