I wanted to give an update on the Larks final day of the College Disc Golf National Championships. They fought hard the final day and put a cap on their first qualification to Nationals.
The women shot a +14 for their final round, rounding out a 21st place finish out of 29 teams. This group did some extremely impressive things with both of them being their first year ever playing disc golf, they progressed quickly and worked hard! They will always be the inaugural women's team at Hesston College, they made history this year.
The men shot a -4 for their final round, earning them a solo 24th place finish out of 64 teams. They put up a strong showing and beat a number of NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 schools. The team also beat all but 3 teams from our Region. It has been extremely fulfilling watching the guys who played last year work and grow and get to where they are now!
They arrived safely back on campus on Easter Sunday. If you see them on campus please give them a HUGE congratulations! Also, if you want to take a peek at some of the courses they were playing you can check out some of the coverage that was taken below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zp9ViW0MTY
