HESSTON, Kan. – The Hesston College women's basketball team came up short against the Friends University JV with a final score of 74-66 on Friday (November 22). Despite an impressive team effort, Hesston was unable to close the gap in the final moments of the game.

The Larks started strong, holding a seven-point lead early in the first quarter, but the Falcons countered with a consistent offensive push. The standout performers for Hesston included Jenna Avery, who contributed 13 points and seven assists, and Akiva Brown, who led the team with 16 points and four blocks. Brittany Cato and Mariah Hall were pivotal in rebounds, combining for 11 boards.

The Larks demonstrated resilience, cutting down a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overturn the lead.
