Kansas City, MO -Ā  Wednesday's season finale did not finish the Larks way with a 78-55 loss to the KCKCC Blue Devils. Sophomore Rob Gambill had his best 3pt shooting game of the season scoring 22 points on six made threes. He also blocked four shots and had three steals. Sophomore Larry Ruffin added 12 points and five assists for his 13th double digit scoring game of the season.Ā

The Larks found themselves in a hole early despite shooting 5-for-8 from the 3pt line (62.50%) due to 18 first half turnovers. One notable bright spot for Hesston was the 12-for-12 from the free-throw line as a team. Ruffin made eight of those himself.Ā 


The Blue Devils leading scorer was Jaylon Moses with 25 points. KCKCC shot 3-for-23 from the 3pt line but was able to get over that by scoring 38 points off Larks turnovers.Ā

Next up for Hesston is the Men's KJCCC D2 Basketball Tournament. After finishing in the 6th seed, the Larks will face the 3rd seed Highland Community College Scotties on Monday March 4th at 7pm. Location: Highland CC, Highland, KS
