Hesston College is proud to announce our first Power/Olympic Weightlifting Head Coach Chase Ohm.
Chase originates from Lookout, California and is currently a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Athletic Director Bryan Kehr had this to say about the hire. "We are excited to have Chase lead our newly established Power/Olympic weightlifting programs. Chase has valuable experience and will bring dedication and energy to lead this new program."
Ohm has many accolades in weightlifting and they are listed below:
??3x national qualifier for USAW University Nationals
3x national qualifier for USAW U25 National Championships,
2022 All American for weightlifting,
4th place finish at 2022 University Nationals and U25 Nationals
Why was Hesston a good fit for you? Hesston was a good fit for me because it allowed me to start a first year program and create a culture from the ground up.
Starting a brand new program at Hesston College what does that mean to you? Starting a new program at Hesston College gives me the opportunity to create a culture and help grow the sport at the collegiate level.
What are you most looking forward to? I am most looking forward to growing the program and hopefully taking athletes to the national level in the near future.
