The Hesston College men's basketball team participated in the Central Christian Classic over the weekend, taking on Central Christian College on Friday, Oct. 31, and Manhattan Christian College on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Game 1: Central Christian 83, Hesston 62
Hesston fell to Central Christian, 83–62, in Friday's matchup.
Antonio Odum led the Larks with 10 points, while Ky Kougl added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Rob Gambill finished with 8 points, and Trent Thompson scored 7 points with 4 rebounds. Devin Lewis and Brennon Dodge each contributed 6 points, helping Hesston total 26 bench points.Â
Game 2: Manhattan Christian 100, Hesston 97
On Saturday, Hesston came up just short in a high-scoring contest against Manhattan Christian, 100–97. Brycten Harris erupted for 32 points, knocking down eight three-pointers. Devin Lewis added 14 points, also hitting four threes, and Rob Gambill scored 12 points on four made three-pointers. Ky Kougl posted 10 points and 8 rebounds, while Trent Thompson added 8 points and 4 rebounds. As a team, the Larks connected on 20 three-pointers and received 60 points from the bench.
The Larks will make the short trip to Newton to play in the Bethel Classic on Thursday (Nov. 6) against Bethel College.Â
