PARSONS, Kan. - A last second three-pointer served as the final dagger as the Hesston College men's basketball team fell to Labette Community College 75-74 on Thursday (Feb. 13). After trailing by 11 at the half, the Larks mounted a strong comeback effort, eventually taking a two-point lead with less than a minute to play, but the Cardinals buried a shot from far beyond the arc to secure the win.

Jammial Hicks led the Larks with 21 points, shooting 10-of-14 from the free-throw line and adding 3 steals. John Probey contributed 14 points, knocking down four three-pointers. Trent Thompson added 9 points and 4 rebounds, while Terryon Stebbins stuffed the stat sheet with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Hesston shot 42.6% from the field and an impressive 52.4% from beyond the arc but was slightly outrebounded by Labette, 37-29. Both teams committed 11 turnovers.

The Larks will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 15) as they host Fort Scott Community College at 3 p.m.
