Women's Basketball Falls to Panthers

CHANUTE, Kan. - The Hesston College women's basketball team faced a tough challenge on the road against Neosho County Community College on Saturday (Feb. 22), ultimately falling 109-42.

Neosho set the tone early, jumping out to a commanding 29-8 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. Hesston struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting 34% from the field and 18.8% from beyond the arc while committing 42 turnovers.

Despite the tough outing, Ashleigh Williams led the Larks with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting, while Felicity Walters added 12 points, including two three-pointers. Jenna Avery contributed seven points and a team-high nine assists, working to facilitate the offense against Neosho's relentless defensive pressure.

The Larks will take on Kansas City Kansas Community College in their final regular season road game of the season on Monday (Feb. 24) at 5:30 p.m.
