KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Hesston College men's basketball team faced a challenging road game against Kansas City Kansas Community College on Monday night (Feb. 24), falling 94-57. KCKCC took control early, building a commanding 38-19 lead by halftime. The Blue Devils' efficient shooting and high-pressure defense proved difficult for the Larks to overcome.
Despite a stronger second-half effort in which the Larks scored 38 points, KCKCC maintained control, capitalizing on turnovers and fast-break opportunities. Hesston turned the ball over 21 times, leading to 26 points for KCKCC.
Jammial Hicks led Hesston with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting while also grabbing five rebounds. John Probey contributed nine points and five rebounds, and Trent Thompson added six points and seven boards.
The Larks will finish up the regular season against Johnson County Community College on Wednesday (Feb. 26) at 7:30 p.m.
