OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Hesston College men's basketball team dropped a tough matchup to #10 Johnson County Community College, 77-62. Despite a strong second-half effort, the Larks were unable to overcome an early deficit against the Cavaliers.
Johnson County set the tone early, jumping out to a commanding 44-24 halftime lead. Hesston struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 33.8% from the field and 21.6% from beyond the arc for the game.
The Larks showed resilience after the break, outscoring Johnson County 38-33 in the second half, but the early gap proved too much to overcome.
