FREMONT, Neb. - Hesston College fell 94–75 to Midland on Monday evening at the Wikert Event Center despite a strong second-half offensive performance. Midland opened the game efficiently, shooting 58.6 percent in the first half to build a 42–25 lead at the break. The Warriors controlled the paint early and used second-chance opportunities to establish momentum, while Hesston struggled to find a rhythm offensively in the opening 20 minutes.
The Larks responded with an improved showing after halftime, pouring in 50 points in the second half while shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 70 percent from three-point range. Trent Thompson led Hesston with 16 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while Brennon Dodge added 13 points and seven boards. Henry Snyder provided a spark off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers and finishing with 14 points, and Devin Lewis chipped in seven points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting night. Despite the offensive surge, Midland continued to answer, maintaining its advantage behind efficient shooting and a significant rebounding edge.
Midland finished the game shooting 58.1 percent overall and out-rebounded Hesston 44–23, scoring 58 points in the paint and 14 second-chance points. Trey McCain paced the Warriors with 15 points, while Jeff Rozelle III and Nick Dolezal each added 14 points, with Rozelle pulling down a game-high 18 rebounds.
