MUNDELEIN, Ill. – The Hesston College volleyball team took a trip to the Chicago area over the weekend to play a pair of matches against Dayspring Bible College on Saturday (September 14). The Larks only lost one set across the two matches winning the first 3-1 and sweeping the second.

Match One – Hesston College 3, Dayspring Bible College 1

The Larks won the match 3-1 after dropping the first set to the Eagles. The set scores were 18-25, 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19. Hesston had a total of 43 kills in the match while posting a .144 hitting percentage. They also performed well in defense, recording 55 digs and 39 assists. Their serving game included 12 aces. Key contributors included Audrey Garrison with 16 assists, Laura Rojas with 8 kills and 6 service aces, and Sarahi Paez, who had 14 digs.

Match Two – Hesston College 3, Dayspring Bible College 0

In the second match, the Larks swept the Eagles in straight sets. The set scores were 25-17, 25-19, and 26-24. Hesston recorded a total of 34 kills to accumulate a .101 hitting percentage. Their serving resulted in 7 aces. Notable performances included Garrison, who had 14 assists and 5 service aces, and Rojas with 7 kills. Hesston displayed solid defense with 42 total digs.
