Hesston College sophomore guard Brennon Dodge has been named the Continental Athletic Conference offensive player of the week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Dodge (Topeka, Kan.) delivered a standout week for the Larks, scoring 20 or more points in both contests and averaging 22 points per game. He shot an impressive 63 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range while adding 5.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per outing. His top performance came in a 90-85 loss to Sterling College (Kan.) last Saturday, where he totaled 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
Dodge joined Devontre Chaney from Georgia Gwinnett College as the weekly honorees from the CAC office. He is the second Hesston College men's basketball player to earn player of the week honors this season, joining sophomore guard Trent Thompson.
