Hesston College sophomore guard Trent Thompson was named the Continental Athletic Conference defensive player of the week as announced by the conference office on Monday (Nov. 17).

Thompson (Okmulgee, Okla.) was a solid contributor last week averaging 13.7 PPG and 6.7 RPG across a three-game slate. Fourteen points and nine rebounds came at Doane University (Neb.) last Tuesday and added 25 points while having eight steals, seven rebounds and six assists against University of Science & Arts (Okla.) last Saturday.

Thompson joined Joey Brown IV from Washington Adventist University as the weekly honorees from the CAC office.
