Hesston College goalkeeper Ethan Connelly was named the Continental Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his contributions in matches against Bethany College (Sep. 2) and Sterling College (Sep. 4). This is the first career POTW honor for Connelly and the first for Hesston College as a member of the CAC.

Connelly had a stellar performance as Hesston picked up its first win as an NAIA program with a 2-0 shutout victory against Bethany. The Oklahoma City native stopped two shots in that match. Connelly then made an astonishing 13 saves in a hard-fought match against Sterling.

Connelly and the Larks will be back in action on Tuesday (Sep. 9) as they travel to Arkansas to take on Ecclesia College at 2:15 p.m.
