Maska Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

HESSTON, Kan. – Hesston College announces the hiring of Jordan Maska as the new head women's soccer coach.

"I am very grateful for this opportunity to continue my coaching career at Hesston College," says Maska. "I am excited to lead the women's soccer program and build off of the foundations that have been laid before me."

Maska, a native of Hays, Kan., comes to Hesston from Highland Community College where he served as the head women's soccer coach for two years. Maska was hired at Highland in 2024 to revive the women's soccer program after it went dormant during the 2023 season. Jordan recruited 18 players for his first season and capped out his roster at 24 players in 2025. In two seasons, Maska produced nine all-conference players at Highland and posted a cumulative record of 8-21-6, just missing the playoffs both years.

Before Highland, Maska served as an assistant coach at Tabor College where he assisted the Bluejay men's soccer team with recruiting, running training sessions and creating practice plans.

"Jordan Maska comes to Hesston College with strong references," shares Athletic Director Bryan Kehr. "During his time at Highland CC he recruited a strong roster and guided the team to technical and tactical improvements. We are excited to have him join the department."

Maska's college playing career began at Northwest Kansas Technical College where he was an all-conference selection before transferring to Tabor College where he earned his bachelor's degree in sports management.

"This opportunity appealed to me as a new challenge at the four-year level and because Hesston College's values align closely with my own," adds Maska.

Interim Head Coach Kade Mitchell will be retained as assistant coach.
