Hesston, KS -
Thomas Gaskell has will become the Head Women's Soccer Coach beginning in August, but will begin recruiting immediately. Thomas comes to Hesston after spending last season as the head women's and men's soccer coach at Wichita South HS. He played collegiate soccer at Independence CC and Tabor College where he was a goalie, but his soccer career ended early due to injury. Thomas spent his last two years of college as a student assistant of the Bluejays men's soccer team, where he gained knowledge of what it takes to become a college soccer coach. He graduated from Tabor College in 2017 with a BOA in Marketing/Management, he then went on to coach at Wichita Independent for a season before taking an assistant coaching role at Coffeyville CC. After one season at Coffeyville, Thomas returned to Tabor College as he accepted the GA soccer coaching position for the men's and women's programs. He graduated from Tabor College with his MBA in the Spring of 2020.
Thomas was born and raised in Swadlincote, England and played semi-pro soccer for Gresley FC, where he was a goalie until he left for the United States in 2013. Gaskell will take over for
Bryan Kehr, as Kehr transitions into the Athletic Director position. Last seasons team finished with a 1-7 record, as they fell just short of the conference playoffs. Gaskell will look to take the Larks back to the playoffs next season.
